Palin thinks the US should base it’s laws on the bible.  See article

Palin states:

“……………Go back to what our founders and our founding documents meant– they’re quite clear– that we would create law based on the God of the Bible and the Ten Commandents, it’s quite simple.”

This is absurd.  The founding documents were remarkably secular considering the time period.  Most founders were deists, not nutty pentecostal Christians like Palin.  The ten commandments have nothing to do with the US constitution and the idea of religious freedom and separating church are clearly present.  Considering the many religious Christian based governments prior to the USA, it’s clear the founding fathers were looking for something different, breaking the mold and giving men freedom.
